What's up with this??

Okay, me Titanium, and a couple others (Dingy and another I think) were making a raid on A28 or something in tanks. It was an armored attack. A couple defenders pop up and we have a nice little fight... except....

Whoever it was in the Ju88, why didn't you die? There's a guy in a Ju88 trying to bomb the tanks. He plows into the ground once on a missed run at Dingy. Later comes for me. I'm in an osty and literally blow his entire right wing off at 200 yds... He flies past my view nosing down at like 300 alt. No kill message. No explosion after that. No death. No chute. No system message. What gives???? Not to mention, I come again in a later wave (a 190 gets me if I remember right, I return again), and there's the ju88 taking off in the far distance, the 190 is high and to my 3 oc 4.7k off.... and all of a sudden I am killed...
I'm thinking "What the hell???? NOBODY shot me!" and can't figure it out.

Now, I'm not naive enough to blurt out "cheater!" and I won't. I just want rational (rational! It wasn't a ufo now explanations.

It might be that you or the other guy had a horrible connect...that can cause weird things.  Couldn't say for sure tho'.

The reason I didn't explain those in the game is because I will never get into a channel 1 debate.  I won't usually even answer them here, but since we had a good chuckle about it, I'll go ahead and explain.

First, you knocked probably both of the wings off the JU88, at least one.  The problem is I'd dropped all 4 500kgs already.  As my burning wreckage flew past you headed for the ground, they landed on you.  Yes, I died.

Second, as I was in the 190 rolling for a dive, Rollo, who was in a tank about 600 yards from you, nailed you.

But, one thing...

The 190 strafe I can see, sure, but the other tank was more like 1k away from me. However, I didn't die with the 88! I survived! I was sitting there, going through my chat buffer looking for a kill message. Couldn't find it. The 190 got me again, as I remember it

maybe ya killed me in a different pass... But all I remember is seeing the Ju88 lose a wing, at 300 yds range, and start nosing down at 300 yds alt. No way it could have survived, and somehow it did.... Even if it crashed I would have gotten a message I shot it down. Yet, even the record shows you had 0 deaths.

What's up with that??

Heh.  I only flew the Ju88 twice, I don't particularly like the plane but the fighter hangars were down.  The first, I augered, the second, I got a kill as I died.

The reason it works that way is because you were no longer alive to credit the kill to.  Far as the system can tell I just augered again.

I wasn't killed by a Ju88 in this instance! I was ALIVE!! ALIIIIVE!!! MUA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAA!!! *AHEM*, sorry, so I like Frankenstiein...

Normally if you drop bombs, there is like a 2-4 second delay before they detonate after hitting something.
