Got a friend of mine checking the skins (+Tiff), but here are some screenies of the finished skin after about 100 hours of work:

Fidd, is that the 249 Sqn Spitfire modeled by Corgi?

The current BBMF Spit Vb is sure pretty too and similar to the one you've done:

I may do Gleed's mk V later. Problem is that it should have clipped wings, and with my scanner U/S I'd need some high quality images of any cartoon artwork on it. Reg letters I can do by eye.

Right now I'm taking a bit of a break, next will likely be a Vb of 335th FS/4th FG for the colonials. ;)

It looks very, very nice.

There is one thing though, the belly is too clean.

I don't know how hard it is to do oil weathering, but it would help make it look real quite a lot.

Because of the way they've used 1 bmp to do both lower wings, any oil-leakage will tend to look artificially symetrical. I may do a bit, but it'll have to be very conservative. Also, when you play around with the skin later, you'll see it's very hard to get the undersurface to illuninate in the way you see it there......

Neither of those links work for me, yes I may do requests, but in the past (air-warrior) I limited those to skins for specific historical scenarios. As Ah2 skins take much more time to do, I may have to concentrate on 1 aircraft type at a time for now.

My intention is to do an RAAF Spit V, probably in Clive Caldwells colours, 1 or two more desert/Italy ones, a couple of 1941/2 ETO ones, and a US 4th FG one (actually in progress now), oh and a 1944 clipped wing in RAF colours with invasions stripes.

Once I've exhausted the Spit 5's I may then look at Hurricanes, P40's and 109e's and f's, although the Jerry kit is likely to be well represented by others.

Thanks
