Instead of the box-like "Mr.Monkey", we now have a pilot that actually looks like a human being in AH2 beta.

Then why not use that 3D model to its full potential?

I'm not expecting to see an 'animated' pilot, but can't the "bailed-pilot" use the 3D model of the pilot in the cockpit? Instead of substituting it with the faceless, featureless troop for the bailed pilot?

It seems the basic 'head' and 'torso' part is already modelled as per the guy sitting in the cockpit. I think all you need to do is add legs spread apart and arms heaved upwards to the head and torso in the cockpit, to depict the bailed pilot in parachutes. And, just remove the guns from the drunks and use the torso/head part of the model in the cockpit to depict the bailed pilot on ground.

It's a small suggestion that would improve the quality of AH immersion greatly, and I think it isn't that much of a trouble since the "guy in the cockpit" already has its textures mapped nicely. Use the same 3D model in the cockpit with just different arm/leg positions per on the chute and on the ground...

He was just upgraded recently after the last beta release. You'll see him with a .45 on the next release.

I knew this from the beginning because if you look at the pilot textures you'll noticed that the entire pilot, legs and all, is modeled when it only shows him from chest up in the cockpit.

Here my little suggestion like or not:

If your aircraft is badly damage, engine died nor out of gas, or your engine is on fire. To bailed out : You need to open your canopy window(i like to say that) and you get on the aircraft wings then jump off from the aircraft. I have found some Pilot's Handbook from WWII that if you have any trouble on your aircraft, You need to bailed out at 4,000 feet or if you lower than 4,000 feet you wont able to bailed out.

Another question: What about One - Man Raft?

If your plane crash into the ocean, the pilot would get his Life Raft out and then start padding and find the friendly location island. I thought this is good idea for having One - Man Raft for AH2 and heh, it a small, helpless, and inappropriate target!

Hey and instead of said pilot blowing up how about making the chute collapse when shot? I like to hear em scream on the way down!

Speaking of pilots in parachutes with .45 pistols, did any such bailers ever deter a 'chute attack or injure an enemy aircraft with a pistol?

The most prevalent story is a bailer who played dead and then shot the enemy pilot as he wandered in close to look.

I vaguely remember a couple stories about such alleged defenses, but success would require a slow rubbernecker attacker or a nice guy just looking at the dangler. Any serious attack and the chutist has no chance, right?

Which had this feature, Air Warrior or WarBirds? Whichever, not much point to it, as I vaguely recall.

Warbirds got .45 pistols and last time i see at WBII, but not sure.
