I was just curious on when the next MTO was going to run.  I know that a lot of guys don't like them but it would be nice to have one here pretty soon...?  Maybe for a new set up use the Sicily Map with the early planeset that is used in Libya?

If anyone can help me out making a map for an MTO setting, I could use the help...

I gave serious thought to doing a MTO setup on friday.  But I could not make one of the exsisting terrains match the planeset I wanted to use so I decided to pass.  I would still like to figure something out in the future and an Italy/Southern France terrain is high on my wish list currently.

It might be a good idea to consider putting new mapping projects on the back burner till AH2 debuts.  I would worry about putting a lot of time and effort into a terrain and then have it become obsolete before it could get much play time.

What would the planeset be? I'm guessing:

P40E
Hurri IId
SpitV
A20
Boston

Bf109F
FW190A5
Ju87
Ju88

Italy January 1944

"Italy Fights on", a setup where Italy did not surrender on September 1943, and opposed the Allies into 1944 with heavier fighting.

Sicily Map. Or Hungary map? as a stand in, and no CV units.

USAAF:

P-47D-11
P-38L (stand in for the P-38J)
B-26B
A-20G

RAF/RN

Spitfire IX
Seafire (CV based)
F6F (CV based)
TBM (CV based)
Mosquito VI
Boston III

LW/RA:

MC205
MC202
Bf 109G-6
Bf 109G-2
Fw 190A-8 (Stand in for the Fw 190A-7)
Fw 190A-5
Bf 110G
Ju 88A
Ju 87D

That looks like that would be a lot of fun Squire, on either side.

Yup, but it might be wise to substitute the Spit 5 for the 9.

The Seafire is a Spit IX right? OR is it a V?

Why not give the FAA the F4U-1D or F6F instead of the Seafire? Didnt most FAA squads have USN aircraft? I know they had the Wildcat (Martlet), Hellcat and Corsair but I dont know much about the RN squads and how many had each plane.

Seafire is a Spit V, yes.

.

I added the F6F to the RN as well. They had it from Dec 43. Alternatively, it can also replace the Seafire.

As for the Spitfire IX, well, no, we have plenty of setups where its left out, and some players like it too. The CT isnt just for everybody else. Whats wrong with the MC205, is it broken?

I dont mind the Spit IX or the F6F. I also think adding the C205 would be apropriate in an Italian setup.

Squire, that looks similar to the planeset I was trying to put together for this friday but without a terrain to run it on.  If we get the Italy terrain in good order I would give this setup a serious look.
