dying to repeated 1 ping kills?????

PT boat, f4f comes in shallow abeam, hear 2 pings.. died (blew up from a single 50 round???) on 1st ping, was in tower for second one,

again, PT boat, again, spitfire coming head on shallow, 1 ping total... death by explosion. (and it was a 303 ping sound at that.)

several sorties where I heard a gazillion pings, while sitting in the tower because 1st ping blew me up.

Tank,, same thing but with a p38, 2 pings total, 1 dead, second I'm in the tower when I hear the second.

Not real impressed at this point in time with the navy stuff.

I've been killed by a Zeke while I was in a Panzer. Since I was manning the external 7mm I guess (and I hope) it was a pilot kill.

Grunz.. he said "f4f" not F4.  Gonna go with him meaning hellcat there.  With .50's.

He also mentioned dying after a .303 ping.  Yes, you can tell the difference.

Nice attempt at bringing the cannon whine into yet another thread though.

Sounds to me like perhaps a conn issue GB, if an Aircraft is firing at you, you are getting hit likely alot more than 1x per audible ping.  If your conn is abit laggy, u may not hear as many as the shooter hits.

Perhaps the Zeke egged u gatt

Zeke's bombs (even the 50kg) are great for panzers and pt boats.  Had a blast vehicle hunting in it in 1.04, now having the same in 1.05 with pt boats.

Understand that SKurj, Happens all  the time.

On occassion, I've seen the dastardly bugger flying away from me before I explode (while in a tank or Osti, never survived long enuf in a PT to know). (accompanied by a gazillion pings before AND afterwards also, sometimes for as long as 10 seconds)

Only once I survived more than the 1st ping last night in a PT boat. And I managed to get 4 torps off and sank a CV.. (I think, I was dead in the tower when I saw the damage message)

I have YET to see any damage turn red on my boat before exploding..

And not all my deaths were by the same person, and I KNOW not everyone is that accurate with their gunnery

seems just 1 ping and wowie,, explosion time.

Well I've only killed 3 or 4 PT boats and I'm pretty sure they only heard one ping from the FIVE INCH CANNON SHELL BLOWING THEM INTO THE NEXT DIMENSION!!!

all my deaths with the possible exception of 1 have been from fighters.

and on the one I actually got close enuff to launch all 4 torps at a CV,, while in the tower afterwards I got a "ship destroyed" message....    

and I'm still dying to 1 ping from f6f's 50 cal ammo

 I once had the misfortune of seeing what just one .50 cal. will do to a human body. It was amazing, in a macabre way. Rest assured, one is all it takes.

I know what shells do to a human body...even larger than a 50 cal.

what I'm PO'd about is the 95% of the time my PT boat gets hit, it's exploding on 1st ping..

95% of the pilots in this sim are not THAT good at gunnery yet, where it should be happening....

I have yet, (after a good 20-25 runs in pt boat) seen any damage other than explosion after 1st ping..

I've NOT had guns put out of action, engine damaged, nuthing, nada, zip,..

The very few times I HAVE survived a gun pass from any plane, I've showed no damage either... from any plane including a f4u..

I've taken hits in a PT from other boats, I was being pursued by 2 the other night, I had lost 1 engine and it was only luck that permitted me to get them first  
Only times a fighter has attacked my boat.. the boat got turned into splinters
