Need Help - Friend Can't Run AH

A friend of mine is having a problem and I can't solve it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Hell I'll buy you a beer at AH Con.  

Here is his description of the problem:

 

I installed AH again
to check it out, but when i try to fly offline its *very* weird. the
plane behaves very very oddly (like its under water, no joke), and there
is *no* terrain. just the field objects and some sheep, all floating in
mid air, no ground anywhere. this is installing 1.023 from scratch
(cleaned out previous install). any ideas?

Need to know what he's running on, but sounds like a video problem, iow new drivers asap.

He's got a TNT 2 and a Voodoo 2 in his machine, I'll find out more.

Ask him if he has a video card selecting utility running in the background.  He has an AGP and a PCI vid card by the looks of it, and a proggy like 3DCC will allow him to select which one...this problem sounds like a video driver issue to me...select ONE card, and problem should go away.
