Mail it to him Lazs, one part at a time. Then he can reassemble it in England and go to the countryside to go plinkin'!

the part with the serial number on it is considered a firearm.

reminds me tho of a buddy in the late 60's who used to send us SKS rifles from vietnam.

That is one weak-prettythang pistol round. Bought a few the first time they made the circuit. I think they were like $59 or so.

A guy I know translated the manual and put it out for folks to buy on the 'net.

One of the lines in the book describing use of the pistol was a little caption to a picture. "At the deserter, Ready! Fire!"

No kidding.

Jim Gebhart's Makarov Manual

Jim was a linguist/translator at Ft. Leavenworth Army Command and Staff College.

I've met him, shot with him. Heck, he was the guy that wanted the Makarov's I bought.

He translated it... ask him.  ;)

Beet, they're just Makarov's built in Bulgaria is all.

Toad.. while no hand cannon.... the 9x18 round puts out about 200+ lbs of energy at about 1200 fps from the little makarov...   this compares pretty favorably with a 38 special snubby with +p rounds.

Lazs,

What does 9x18 refer to?

OK, I found your other thread. So now I know what this gun looks like. It certainly looks as if it would fit snugly into my girly hands.

Yes, I would like to order one, please. But I don't like the black grip. I was wondering if you could get me a replacement grip - either in salmon pink, or maybe with a gentle floral pattern.
