What a/c and from what unit. Yes are B-24s but what BuA number. Where about in the Polesti area.

That does that challenge your intellect?

Don't know the specific aircraft numbers, but they are from the 98th BG "Pyramiders" lead by Killer Kane in "Hail Columbia" going in to White IV, which was the designation for Unirea-Orion and Astra Romana Refinaries.

Other aircraft that may be in that photo are "Hadley's Harem", "The Sandman", Chug a Lug", and possible "Lil Abner"

Hail Columbia was a B24D #41-11825
Hadley's Harem was B24D #41-24311
The Sandman was B24D #42-40402
Chug a Lug was B24D # 41-11776
Lil Abner was B24D 41-11779

Now I don't know for sure that those are the aircraft in the photo, but I know there is a famous photo taken of Chug a Lug trailing Sandman over the burning refinary which makes me believe that the photo in question was probably taken from Sandman
