LOL you had a serious amount of sh*t on your computer..

I never use the freeware bs anyway so I guess that's the reason I've been saved from spyware. Well, at least I don't use freeware that has unwanted add-ons.

Roger Wilco left smoking out of my box the second I realized it came bundled with Gator.

Roger Wilco install does NOT install Gator automaticly.
During the install process you have the choice to agree or reject the Terms of Service with Gator.  If you reject, the ONLY RW is installed.

From what I understand of Gator, I would bet my booties that SirLoin missed this and has Gator running adds to his desktop.

LOL....  :D

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you, but I didn't really have all those spyware "thingys" on my machine.  It's a list of examples that the Lavasoft product will detect and eliminate.  ;)

The only one I've ever picked up accidently was the doubleclick beast.

Regards,
Badger

I have to confess that I accidentally installed Gator on my computer back then..

I downloaded the updated RW and expecting no evil installed it quickly without reading anything from the GUI. Who in their right mind would imagine they'd bundle spyware in their product and not warn about it..

Anyway, the whole ordeal made me lose my trust to RW in general and I chose not to use their product anymore.
