What the devil?

Remember the theory about the Beatle's "SGT Pepper's" album containing reversed messages?
Well, there are more theories around, - Stairways to Heaven is a spooky one.

It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Some freinds and I took a belt off a turn table and did Zepplin 4 backwards. What we could get out of it was pure evil. I vowed then to never ever again listen to LZ backwards and I've stuck to it. Forwards? Yup, I still listen to Zep 4wards.

Lots of Beatles stuff contains intentional as well as accidental backward lyrics.

Listen to Revolution 9 ( White Album) Forward someone ( egineer at Abbey Road) is saying "Number nine, number nine" over and over. Backwards it sounds like "turn me on deadman" although it  sounds closer to "turn me on deadmun"

I never much cared if records had backwards words. since I always played my albums forward I figured it didn't effect me.

so one day a few friends and I are sitting around, killing time and someone mentions that a certain album has a backwards message at the end of the last song.  ( I can't remember wich one, wish I could)

I mentioned that I had the album, and he asks if he can try it.

"sure, ok, whatever, knock yourself out"

so it takes him forever to get it going. trouble with getting it to be 'on' to play the music but not turning forward.

so finally he says " I got it, quiet, listen"

we'd forgot all about it/him, but went ahead and shut-up for a minute.

and here was his big secret message-
"don't play records backwards, stupid"

ELO ( Electric Light Orchestra ) was notorious for backward masking.. though they did it rather intentionally.

Check out 'Face the Music' album.. Intro to Fire on High.

There's a couple others on that album, but the big album for this stuff was 'Secret Messages'.  Got to where you have to change the speed of how fast you spin it backwards to get some of them.

All done in clear english, though.. no imagination required.

Heck.. just the hunt for them is a game in itself.

Enjoy!!

You guys should listen to Jimi Hendrix's "Third Stone From The Sun" backwards...You hear alien space chickens comunicating that they are going to assume control of our planet and bring death and destruction!...Last I heard they were working on mind control for humans so they could take over the White House.
