We must get to the bottom of this. Misuse of federal funds. HEADS should be rolling in this administration as well as the previous!

The more money we give to governments, the more they'll misuse.

The federal goverment exists in Canada only to redistribute money from Western Canada to Quebec liberal insiders or Ontario Conservative insiders.

Amen to that, Tarmac. That's exactly the situation we're in with Tony Blair's government, with his Chancellor of the Exchequer and Profligate Waste - Gordon Brown.

What they do is to dream up grandiose plans which end up costing more than was anticipated. So then they have to find the money from "somewhere". And we all know what that "somewhere" is. Higher taxes which, we are led to believe, will pay for improved public services. Bollocks, I say. All the money gets soaked up in administration costs. Public spending is up 50% under Blair's government. And what do we have to show for it? Erm..., erm..., er........ I'll have to get back to you on that.

I don't pretend to know what all the different candidates represent in the forthcoming US election, but I'd vote for the one that leaves the most money in your pockets, and lets YOU decide how to spend it.

In a nutshell:

Kerry - High taxes, bigger government, somewhat balanced budget.

Bush - Less high taxes, bigger government, huge deficit spending.

So Bush will put more in your pocket.  However, if that money is useless due to inflation and weak dollar values vs. foreign currency, who gave me more real spending power?

Neither.  It's a hold-your-nose-and-vote election.  I'm picking between two candidates, one of which I disagree with on 95% of everything, and the other with which I disagree on 94% of everything.  Great.

No **** Tarmac, this is what I call an ABBACADABA election. Use those letters in order and repeat as many times as needed (I did that on the PSATs).

If you're going to throw away your vote, might as well throw it away on a third party and make a statement.  :)

Libertarian  :)

Together, we can make this the highest % for third party candidates since Mr. Perot!  Speaking of which, where the hell is he now?  He needs to run this time around.

Agreed.  Hell, they'd be a 3rd world country (or worse yet, invaded by now) if it wasn't for U.S. :D

Wrong, take a look at the equalisation payments.  All other provinces suck the tax dollars out of Ontario and Alberta.
