some books for my B-day

so my brother dropped by some books a couple weeks ago for my birthday.  unfortunately my reading ability is still very limited so I haven't had a chance to see if they are any good.

so have any of you read any of these, or other works by the authors?  are they any good? should I look forward to when I can read them or just put them on a shelf.

Excellent book (I have the single volume). Good general history of the airwar. Not much new or detailed, but a good overview.

Flying fortress

Another fine book.

I got both of these as gifts myself. I think I was about 11 at the time in the late 1970s. I still crack them occasionally today.

Flying Fortress is a classic.  

Flying Fortress, Saga of the Superfortress and Log of the Liberators are gotta haves for the bomber guys.  Lots of great photos and personal stories from the men who crewed those birds.
