Ok, I'm sure this thread is gonna turn into something nasty, but that is not my intention.  Frankly, I have had HORRID connections and discos with the new server.  Hell, I dont mind a few discos.  BUT, when I disco, and get get back into the arena for 20 damn minutes, that sucks!

PLEASE fix this ... this has been going on for two weeks with me.  I happen to have a lot of time to fly right now, but I cannot imagine how frustrating this must be to those that pay and only have a 1 or 2 hour window to fly in, get disco'd and cannot get back in for 20 minutes.

Started getting discos tonight. Havn't had a disco in ages. Can't connect to the server now.

Did a traceroute and everything looks ok. ping is between 45-80.

Nothing to do with HT servers the net is falling over before it gets to em.

Now i will be the first to agree if we are generally talking about the crap netstat host que times and the lag/rubber bullets associated with it when it spikes like hell, which is all too often lately.

One thing I have noticed besides the discoes is that the connect status takes a dump after a short while in the arena.  Last night was the exception for me, I got to fly one and a half hours with not a sign of trouble.
Am not sure if it is something in the new patch, the voice program (am not running it, but is it on the HTC server?), or something.........

First time I've had to fly in over a week.  Not even worth connecting.  Oh, but look on he bright side, we got a new ah voice version today.  Don't fret, maybe next week we'll get another 109 or f4 variant.

I'm with you Crash....first chance in a week to fly and got "host connection lost" three times in 2 hours....arrrrrg.  I certainly hope it is not connected to the AH voice stuff possibly taking up bandwidth that could be better spent on other server functions.  I am no wizard at the server stuff so am not saying that is what is happening....just as frustrated with the disco's is all :-(((

Well, you can be sarcastic amazinhunks about it (hi crash :)), or you can realize that it's got nothing to do with the server itself, but with where the server is being hosted.  This is what HT said, in the same sentence he said that they were trying to get the problem solved.

Who is hosting the servers now? I remember hearing something about it not being at Applink until Skuzzy secures more bandwith?

no problems here.
