Gonna build me a server for work.
I need to have 4x250gb disks in it and id like em to be SATA.
It needs to have a reliable powersupply for 24/7 operation.
It needs a DVD burner.
Operating system is an open question yet but it should be free
It needs gigabit ethernet.

Basicly its gonna be used for storing lots of data and share that data with 3-4 other computers running OSX and winXP via gigabit ethernet. It does not need any fancy stuff but the cabinet should be roomy enough for those 4 drives and good airflow. Dont think cpu power is that important for this kinda work.
Need tips on good 250gb sata disks, a mobo with 4 sata controllers and buildt in graphics, cpu, mem, operating system (like freeBSD etc.) and cabinet.
Is it possible to get this for 1000 to 1500 USD ?
