started flying the 202-205's, seem like nice planes except for the awfull paint jobs, good fire power, any tips on getting the best out of them?

I really like the 202 for a 1v1 but in the MA, your kills will be constantly stolen from you.

Imho, the 205 is too heavy but it does have alot of ammo for its guns. However, its sluggishness off sets any benefits you receive.

202 is one of the my very favorites.  Forward visibility is a challenge, and the aircraft is not very strong, but it handles like a dream.  If you're flying against early-war planes, use it as an energy fighter.  Against late-war planes, it's a turn fighter.  The guns are an obvious drawback.  Set your convergence at 200, and don't take any shots beyond that.  Snapshots are virtually useless; you have to fly your plane so that you're behind your target before you open up.  Happily, this plane lets you do that.

And hey, the paint job is the best!  All that gold inlay, jewels around the edges....

Both great planes, and excellent perk point earners.

Keep em fast,  only turn if you know you can catch & kill him in one pass.

I like to use the 205 on base defense, lots of ammo, and it turns pretty well on 50% or less fuel.

I really like both of them..

But the strange thing is,  if im in a steep dive on a guy and he might be AFK,  202's guns act like cannons,  im not sure what causes this..  If anyone understood what i just said,  can someone enlighten me what makes the guns so powerful when you have so much speed?

Perhaps you are closing so fast that by the time you shoot you're under 150-200 yards.  At close range the 202's guns are quite effective; possibly the bullet weight is so light that the velocity falls off quickly beyond 200 yards.

If your gaining on a con very quickly your planes speed is added to the bullets speed as it leaves the muzzle.

In a 500 mph dive this can be significant.
Esp if your closing on him quickly.

The 202 is what you fly when you want to turn in an Italian plane.

The 205 is what you fly when you want to race in an Italian plane.

They both handle well enough, but I have a hard time hitting anything with them.

fly the CT...the 202 is supreme there this week.

The 205 is a great GV killer, I enjoy it.

Sorry for mi english ( is? )
MC 202 is a good turn fighter , have 2x 7.7 and two 12.7 whit explosives bulletes.( not on board in AH )
MC 205 , in AH , is a energy fighter .
Whit 2x12.7 and 2x151 on board , is very dangerous at close engage.

He is correct.  For the 205, you must get in close to hit a moving target.  The cannons are in the wings so be sure to adjust your convergence to 350.  The 12.7mm machine guns are in the cowl, so do not worry about convergence with them.

I do not know the ballistics of the cannons, but I think they are the same as the German cannon, which is slow-firing and heavy.  Maybe someone else knows better about them?

The 205/202 will handle much better if you burn the wing tanks 1st. On the 202 I only carry the 2 12.7mg now. Had a tough time in the CT killing anything (not that thats abnormal for me:))...once I dropped the ticklers I found you can kill thingspretty well with the 2 x 12.7 had a couple 4 kill hops on 1 clip vs hurricanes and p-40's.

On 205 I map the 20mm seperate from the 12.7's....300 for the 20mm and 500 for the mg's
