Your country Bishlandia is being attacked on two fronts. The small band of pilots that still remain: The Bishwaffe are made up of a mixed bunch of a few experten and many "kids" with a mere few hours of flight time.

the rooksians are on full offensive on the eastern front and advancing towards the city borders.

the Knights have long since beat back the bishop offensive: "Operation Baby Seal" in the epic Battle of Knitland.

your task is to save the bishop homeland from total destruction and stave off the massive overwhelming onslaughts being carried out by the knights and rooks that has descimated our oil refineries, factories and cities.

The situation is grim and the odds are against you. command and control has been smashed and all radar stations have been destroyed.

all but 2 airfields and one vehicle field have been overrun by marauding enemy aircraft and vehicles.

yet even as the Bishop empire is at its knees the Allied pact between the Rooks and Knits has began to come apart due to repeated incursions by each country on their commrades fields thus causing friction and clashes as the knights and rooks battle over who controls captured bishop territory.

chaos reigns
yet the Bishwaffe fights on to the bitter end

-----------------------------------

this in a nutshell is the normal condition in the MA.

I don't really care if it stays that way or not but it sure is challenging flying for the Bishop's compared to flying knight or Rook. and I for one like the pucker factor of slashing my way through a sky full of red Icons

Funny that no rook was crying in UBB when they were ganged by knights and bishops.
But now when bishops are being getting the same, what I hear, they cry alot

shame on you hasqueak and Juuti
this post was a spontaneous paragraph of creativity on how the MA can in some ways parallel the struggle for power in ww2.

don't twist it to fit your conspiracy seeking whine alert notions.

thanks

and enjoy

Very funny Citabria

Country gang-banging was one of the appeals of the game, and that's why I didn't complain when the Bishs and Knights were continually knocking us Rooks about. Happened quite alot when I last played. I like being the underdog every once in a while  .

I just have to take offense to the continual derogatory references to Baby Seals...

I plan to take part in the Annual Seal Bashing------I've even turned my own "basher" on the lathe.......SOLID OAK BABY!!!!

Can't wait to hear the accoustics

EDIT NOTE:

The seals mentioned in this post = Kniggits and Rooks
The "basher" = my airplane

All you tree huggers and Seal lovers can relax and complain about those who strafe the sheep!

OBSERVATION

Funny how 52 kniggits and 25 rooks couldnt take over the last two fields and V61 to force the reset.
This is no whine.......Bish rule in the defensive!!!!  C'mon kniggits....you can do better than that!

Hey Skernsk,

I tried on a number of occasions to get a push together to take the fields and force a reset but there were conflicting views. Some thought it better to force the reset while others thought we were bashing the Bishops too much and left for the north to fight Rooks. With the reduced numbers to attack the Bishops, field capture was basically impossible and many gave up prolonging the Bishop lack of fields.

So if it matters any, just about all of the Knights were trying to do "the right thing" it's just that we had different ideas of the best way to do it.

One thing for sure - oak airplanes is easy to kill though

Man, I had more fun yesterday than I have in months.  I'm going to start letting C47s though until we get to the back two.

Is the psychological factor of less little green squares on the clipboard so great that people cannot enjoy the fact they're coming off a 5k base, with plenty of friendly support, immediately into fights?
