Sigh

This is getting silly then.  I sent it to support, support bounced it.  Sent again, same.

Sent directly to you, and you say you didnt get it.

I guess I'll burn it to CD and UPS it to you then.  At least I'll have a signature to prove someone got it  :)

Any luck with the IRQ's? [/B]

I use the same realtek AC97 sound chip.  Run directX diagnostics, go to the sound tab there, turn down the sound acceleration one or two notches left. Try one notch first. That fixes the problem of CTDs for me.  Turned down-no CTDs, at full I'll always dump after a while.

My Realtek driver has a later version number than yours but perhaps that is because I use Win98. However, Windows Update should detect it if it's not the latest, and list any later one for auto install over the net.  The drivers can be got from Realteks web site as an alternative.

Reason: A transaction failure was reported by remote server:

  "550 5.7.1 Access denied"

I'm still getting the stupid problem...here's a screen capture of what i wind up with half the time i shoot someone down

Now where should I send the film file for the 3rd stinking time?

LePaul, clear out your films and screenshots - this happens when there are too many.  I'm not saying it will solve your problems, but it will definitely help the drive chugging.  This happened to me during the last scenario - I started film and after some disk-chugging was disconnected.  Clearing out the films sorted it.

My own mailserver... mail.checksix.net

Its working fine everywhere else.

Im just truly getting peeved on this bug :(  I just spent an hour geting bombers to a target, once the System messages starting showing structures destroyed, blammo....Host Disconnect.  Sigh

At this point...if you guys honestly dont know what the problem is, just tell me.  I don't know whats more frustrating...the game crashes or the failed efforts to send you the film over n over

Ok, found the block LePaul.  Sorry about that .  Just happened to land in a block surrounded by spam IP's.  Fixed.

The film removal is worth a shot.  I can only suspect why you are discoing LePaul.  Something like this, due to its random nature, is difficult to track down.

Did you get rid of the AC97 sound device?

Ive emailed you Skuzz with the attachment (film of disco)

As I detail in the email, Im still using the same onboard sound.  Ive had this PC for going on 2 years now, disco's started in the last month...I have a real problem faulting the sound chip at this point.

Let me know what film shows.

Its just too conincidental that these dumps happen when the system is sending me messages (bombs hitting, shooting someone down, etc)

I'm getting similar behavior that just started showing up.  The symptom is this:

I fly over a target in a bomber.  I press the button to drop bombs.  I hear the "click, click, click" of bombs dropping then immediately get a "disconnected from host" message (or something like that), click on the "OK" button on the dialog box, and am dumped out of Aces High.  I start AH back up right after and can get back into the game no problem.

It also happened once immediately after I shot someone down -- same message dumping me out of AH immediately.

I had no warnings and no trouble before this point (e.g., no dropping to UDP or any complaints about connectivity, no trouble using voice, no trouble seeing messages from other folks).

It's almost as if it's triggered by something that happens right after pressing a bomb button.  I have never had it happen at other times or even several seconds after dropping bombs.  It's almost as if my button 2 on my joystick is the "abort connection" button instead of my "drop bombs" button.

This only started happening recently (like the last week or so).  I haven't changed anything on my computer, other equipment, or in my connectivity in that time.  Again, before this time, I have never seen this behavior on my system.

This is especially frustrating after climbing a formation of B-24's to 10-15k, getting all situated over a target, getting all lined up, only to get disonnected upon pressing the "drop bombs" button.

Any ideas?

One thing I am trying is disabling portions of my virus checking.  Although I haven't changed anything there in the last several weeks (i.e., it worked fine before), it's worth a try.  I'll report back if I have any more disconnects upon bombing.
