Anybody else have this problem?
« on: February 23, 2004, 01:55:05 PM »
Recently, while playing in the MA my screen turned blue nad made a real annoying noise.  I thought nothing of it as computers sometimes can mess up.  The only way to get rid of the screen is to restart my brand new computer i got a month ago.  This incedent has happened to me quite a number of times now..costing me to lose one 262, not too happy bout that.  My squadmate has also told me this has happened to him, so I was windering if anyone else out there has experienced this problem.  I have tried turning off all virus and firewall programs, and also ran a system restore, but to no avail, any suggestions?

About once a month the mashine will lock up.  Start with your video settings.  Most of the times games have probs because of that.  Thats what the prob with mine was.

I has happened more than once a month to me. What did you change about your settings to make it work better?

Changed resolutions and number of collors.  Also messed with the settings in the AH video setup a little.  (don't remember what).  That helped the frame rate also.

When I don;t know what to try, I just try dif combinations starting with resolution and colors.

ok, i will try that, do you remember if you increased or decreased the number of colors. I am guess you decreased to get a better framerate, but this is a brand new computer that plays the game awesome, so i am confused about wheter or not this could be due to some kind of memory issue or not.

Mine is new also.  I had to reduce colors and resolution.  Game was running fine until you got low with many cons around
