Still checking info on Hristenko, the temporary prime-minister. Looks like looser.

The most obvious candidate for prime-minister position is Alexander Ivanov, currently a defence minister.

It was obvious that Putin will get rid of Kasyanov and gang, people left to him by Yeltsin's "family" of crooks. I expected that it could happen in a matter of weeks after the elections, but Putin made this move earlier. Looks like he is self-assured now and noone can stop him. He will be elected 100%.

I am afraid we will start to tighten up the screws, there were enough signs before. I mean things that you'll never see in Western press.

Shooting some of that crooks in the government and administration is a good idea, but, unfortunately, it's not new.

May you live in interesting time! :(

I have read some comments from our politicians, they can be divided in two: first are "United Russia" and it's jakals, praising President's wisdom, second are so-called "opposition" saying that Putin "blew up the situation before the elections". Both are equally useless.

I see another division of Soviet property on the way.

The biggest question is: who is Hristenko and will he stay for more then 2 months.

So far everything that is done is done against us, people of Russia. I don't care about happy idiots supporting Putin they don't know why, I want something good for me. I don't want to go back to Soviet times, and I don't want to see where the current course will lead - it will be a complete ruin. I hope to give you a more detailed opinion in a few days.

Russia is such a **** fest right now. Its going to take a generation or 2 to escape the effects of communsim. I just hope they stick through it, and not revert to a dictatorship.

Frankly speaking - I think that the dictatorship is the most obvious solution now. I think I'll emigrate if it will happen, but I have a Father who is 77 years old... He is a wise man, and he insists on a similarity of the current situation with Germany in early 30s... I have to admit that there is a tendency that we will all "march in rows" in a couple of years.

Unfortunately I will be probably unable to get an American visa. 31 years old male, single, no children - and that's all. The only chance is if they will consider that I already had an American visa in 1989, but it was too long ago...

Another thing is that I think FBI still has me in stop lists or whatever they call it...

And I can't leave the country - I have a Father here. And if I'll go - I'll probably go to Australia, my Mother has an Australian citizenship, and they have quotes for IT specialists.

So far there is no idea who will be the new prime-minister, and if Hristenko will stay. "Independant press" admits that they know nothing about intrigues inside Kremlin, and the situation in similar to Soviet times when Westrn sovietologists had to make guesses about what really goes on and what is the real motivations of some actions and decisions.
