I read it. The writing was good, disappointed at the end for obvious reasons.
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.

Super book, Midnight.  If you've read the book then surely you've tried to verify the supporting evidence that serves as the basis for the book.  It's all real - right wing Catholic loonies are on the loose. :)

I just picked it up and am 1/2 way through.

This one threw me:

Is that Mary Magdalen to Jesus right? Why is Peter making a threatening gesture at Mary's throat? Who's hand is holding the knife?

Cool book.

Its a very clever book.  The end is a little too scooby-dooish.

There's a gospell according to Mary Magdalen... which was deemed apocrypha by the Catholic Church.

There was a documentary on Discovery a few weeks ago that talked about this... in short scholars believe Mary was not a prostitute but a very close confidant of Jesus - closer than the other aspostles. When Jesus died, it was Mary who insisted the apostles go out and preach, but they were affraid because they felt they would be persecuted just like Jesus was.

The story is Mary really understood the preachings of Jesus.. more so than Peter... and Peter didn't want to be second bested by a woman... so she was vilified and eventually over the centuries re-characterized as a prostitute and her gospel discounted.. haver some manuscripts exists though in poor condition with sections missing.

Terrible book, written by a boring writer with a half way decent subject... Can't wait to see the movie version that fixes the books yawn factor...

Interesting book...

I too think there is more to Mary Magdaline than the church would have us think back in the day. Unfortunately, it will never be known for sure until the end.
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

I picked up the book and read the first few pages got to the part about the murder and his task of passing on the "big secret" . The author seems to have a great idea but isnt telling it in a really creative style, its kinda pulpy. But ill read it seems like a page turner.

O and thanks for puting up those films on your squad website they are really helping me in my 51 flying.
