I'm young and stupid, and I want to go from east coast USA all over (mostly west) this summer.  Has anyone have any experience doing this (preferrably when they were under 18, since we will be).  I'd appreciate any tips you can give me.  We're trying to keep costs low while seeing all we can.

If you're old enough to drive, talk your parents into letting you drive on the interstates. I learned defensive driving by driving from Minnesota to Florida 30 days after I received my license. It was a great learning experience.

The best trips are trips that are spur of the moment, with no set itineraries. John's right on this one.

No problem with the stretch of 95 through Providence, so interstates aren't a problem.  I've thought about the spur of the moment thing (hence ruining the principle), and decided that probably wouldn't work for me.  The reason my parents trust me to take my car and money I earned far beyond the realm of their control is because they know I'm a planner.  If I was completely crazy, I'd probably be on a tighter leash.

A lot of my friends have been cut from the potentials list, since their parents expect jobs or they would become unbearable after 3 days.

Take a month off work, get 3 friends, pack a car and never be sure where youll spend the night.

Good times.

Make sure you use different methods for killing your victims, and whatever you do don't use the same weapon twice. I know the temptation will be strong but leave all the bodyparts at the crimescene, remember its not about the trophies.
