As far as the "Elsie" name goes, +Delirium had tired of Elsie many years before and passed her to +Rino as he was getting cranky from years of lonelyness.

My mistake.  The landing gear and the pink fuzzy dice you can barely see in the cockpit should have been the tip off.  +Rino must have been really, really lonely to take Elsie after all those years with +Delirium.  Talk about a 4 legged walking petrie dish

My old P38 was 'Dizzy's Lizzy', which is unfortunately been used for parts. Her #1 engine never worked right and always ran away, unless I bought her dinner first. :D

Dizzy's Lizzy II is still up in the MA though :)

I can only pray that one of the skinners (Kweassa !!!) would get the history on this bad-boy and produce a skin of it for AH2. It would be SO SWEET !!!

How could you find the history on this bird ?!?!?

That's a PTO P-38F, "Japanese Sandman II", 39th Fighter Squadron.

You can't argue with two shark mouths. If HT adds an early model 38 I'll do this skin.

Maybe Fidd will do one of his excellent P-38 skins, like some of the ones he did for AW SAC.

Why do we have to wait for an early model 38, I think that that skin would look just fine on the L model. Other skins that were present on early model planes have been created and layed onto the existing plane we have in AH.

Has anybody found any other pictures of this P-38 on the web anywhere ... I would love to see it from different angles or in color.

Those twin shark mouths speak volumes about this fighter.

Found a good link ...
