For a little while now, I've been wondering if there's a correlation between the amount of time spent posting to this BBS, and the quality of fun while playing AH.
I've tried an experiment on myself in the past week. I have posted here much less than I normally do, yet I have played AH more than I normally do(it helped that the wife & child were visiting relatives).
What I'm finding is that the less I post here, the more I actually enjoy the game that is AH. I don't have the angry arguments about HO's and Dweeb rides swimming in my head while I play now.
Heck, I got killed by BigJim the other night during Vadr's Check Six event, and not only did I enjoy it, but I also saluted him on CH 1, too. That's something that I would definately not do on this BBS, considering our relationship of late.
Does anyone feel the same way? Does arguing and posting here on the AH BBS create more stress or acrimony than it's worth?
That begs the question----Are we using this BBS for the purpose intended, or are we just using it as a place to slam one another?
I've also wondered about what Pyro and HT and the rest of HTC thinks about the people who post here on a regular basis. I can't prove it, but I have a hunch that they take people who post here much
less seriously than they do people who don't post here at all. Kind of like the way I tune my wife out when she talks about the same thing over and over again!
