You're splitting hairs. There are plenty of photos of Bush done up in Hitler garb circulating around the world. Wanna guess who put those out? Sure wasn't the conservatives. Heck, you saw Weazel's work- he'd practically raised it to an artform, outdone only by MG at AGW.

Slander is slander, and the left is no better/worse than the right at it.

The Kerry/Fonda picture was and still is being passed as real.

While you might be technically correct, the fact is Kerry was saying things every bit as provocative as Fonda. That doesn't excuse a forgery, but the message the photo carries is in effect true.

The picture is real, it was just made to look like an AP photo from a newspaper. The actual photo was real and Kerry really was there.

There was a forgery of one photo it seems.

I am not saying it was right to forge photos. It obviously isn't. And there are people passing the Hitler photos around, interesting to see who was outraged and who wasn't, eh? Fact is, both are slander. It's no use trying to assign greater guilt to one side or another, they are both equally bad about it.

How do you feel about Moby suggesting a total fabrication on a website detailing an affair between GWB and some young thang? You think he didn't believe one or more of his fans would do it? He went as far as to say it didn't have to be true, it just needed to be out there. How's that for recreating history?

From the article

Quote
The first photograph to surface showing Kerry and Fonda together was taken by photojournalist Leif Skoogfors at a political rally in 1970. After being discovered by a Kerry opponent and leaked to right wing news outlets, the image started popping up in more mainstream, albeit conservative-leaning media like FOX News, The Washington Times and The New York Sun.

The photo was real, it was just distributed illegally from what I read on that link.

So Kerry AND Fonda are in the photo and it's real.

No, I don't see how "dangerous" this is.

So someone on the internet merged ONE picture, it ran in NY Times and NY Times 2 days later said it was forged.

Big deal, end of story.

The picure I was talking about was Kerry and Fonda at a rally which is real. Also what it real is Kerry being a speaker along with Fonda in at least 2 rallys.

What is real is that Kerry is "dangerous"  not the forged photo.
