Are you the same person you were 20-30-40 years ago? I sure hope not. So why do we give a crap what our politicians did when they were in their 20's ?

Yes I'm talking about GWB and John Kerry and whoever else might have acted like an bellybutton when they were young.

Well I heard that there are reliable sources that know people who are pretty sure that he once almost met Jane Fonda.

I don't believe I've ever questioned either candidates about service time (and if I did, it may have had a sharp edge on it out of spite ;) ), but Midnight is right.  Wasn't it Maslow that had a theory that every 10 years or so you change.  I remember the theory but not the psychologist, simply because I had a psych teacher that said jokingly "When you turn 30, you're more inclined to have babies (if you haven't already) or 'Save the Whales' "  LOL! :)

Actually Hitler wasnt all that brite least not in affairs of war if he had let his Generals do their "job" and stuck to politics the world might be a verry different place. Also "according to the history channel" he was the luckey guy at the right place/time as well in germany.
