Aces High guncam film..

This probably belongs in the Film Viewer section, but it is such a rare thing to see AH-based playermade movies, that I thought it was worthwhile to introduce :)

Guncam footage, made with Aces High

Apparently, even AH1 isn't all too bad looking. :) It's a pity we don't have much dedicated film makers like they do in IL2/FB forums..

Most likely because the AH film viewer is not very user friendly for the making of videos.  I have made a few, and I can tell you that they are very labor intensive for the results achieved.

The AH film viewer/editor is less than a perfect thing, and it does have a few ommisions that would make movies so much better and easier.  That said, I just dont htink its a huge priority for HT, as so few use it at all, and the few who do have only a few that make movies.

As its stands now, it takes about 2-4 hours to glean 4-6 minutes of good footage by the time you preview the films to mark the times, and record to avi from several angles.  After that actual editing and production of a final film takes anywhere from 2-12 hours depsnding on the complexity and level of quality.  This is with a film with full sound effects, voice overs and music of course.

Ah well....I have fun with it anyway:aok

The music seems to be Vanessa may's "Aurora".

As to how the effects are, I have no idea - one of my squaddies made this film, and he says he used a software called Ulead Video Studio to edit the output AVI file made from the film viewer.
