Video Card Problem??
« on: February 29, 2004, 04:52:31 PM »
I recently built a "new" sytem for my 10 yr old. An AMD2600+ on a shuttle board (fry's special)...I had everyting else but decided the old video card had to go...I put a PNY FX5200 in...decided to run a few benchmarks just for fun...it dumps on both aquamark and 3D mark2000????

Seems to work fine however...

I'm going to load a couple games up (downloading AH2 beta right now) to see what happens...

Any clue ...one of the few times I've got no idea how to troubleshoot someting.

It's most likely drivers and/or heat issues.  A less likely culprit is a poor quality power supply.

The system doesn't heat up (CPU~45C) and the memory is 512 PC2700 corsair stick. loaded and ran AH2...just launched a tiger from default base...framerates in the 45-60 ranga as I looked around from turret top view.

Completely baffled....gonna swap a joystick in and fly a hop or two tonight.
