Author Topic: Why can't the SEAFIRE carry a bomb? (Read 640 times)

I was doing some reading on the FAA and it's aircraft the other night and I ran across something interesting - our SEAFIRE in the game can't carry the 500 lbs. bomb that the SPITFIRE Vb can. Our model Seafire is just a "Navalized" version of the Spit Vb.

From everything I have read the Seafire could carry the 500 lbs bomb as well as a drop tank.

Why was it left off here in AH?

OK here's one

It happens to be a Seafire III

My stuff says the Seafire I didn't carry bombs, the Seafire IIc could carry a 250 pound bomb and the Seafire III could carry a 500 pounder, or 2 250 pounders or 8 60lb rockets.

They also carry a torpedo and beside Corsair II are the best

OK now find a photo of a IIC with a 500lb bomb. That's a 250 lb in that pic BTW.

Thats like asking "why cant the P40b carry bamboo drop tanks?"
