The bad side on the beta terrain returning
« on: October 03, 2000, 08:19:00 AM »
Just logged in AH to take a look, and the situation was this:

because the numbers where:

So, in previous map this was no problem as each side had 20 fields or so. now we have much less ,and this thing (just as happened up to tour 2 and 1.02) is going to kill a lot of fun...

No skill dweebs that attacks defencceless countries are back...Please is there SOMETHING we can do to avoid this situation?

It'll all come out in even soon enough.
In the beat the majority of folks were not in squads. Now they are and there are alot of them who change countries to help the numbers out. It'll settle down and even out.
Demming would have your head for trying to do a one day sample!

BTW. When I logged on at about 9pm (US EST) it was 11 Rooks against three times as many Knights and Bishops each.

Yeah, I have something to solve that problem, make the Knights not so good, see, we have a few 'Generals' over  here that make Knightland the best country in regards to strat, that the only time anyone can get our real estate is when numbers are low (non-peak AH hours)

That and the fact Nits usually have 2x the players of another team on peak hours helps

So....you seek parity?

Buck up Ram...I don't whine like a baby when the Knights are kickin the Bishops tails.

Your logic is faulty as well...less fields may make for a faster demise of a given country, but when your country has the numbers, the same will apply for your side.

I'm so happy just to have a different terrain, I guess I don't understand anyone who would complain on the first day of a new tour.

Is this a sign of things to come from you Ram?

Ice you miss the point 100%, the problem is that when I went into the arena there were 2 knights.

Other countries were attacking a DEFENCELESS country.

Nothing to do with gangbangin. I dont mind it. I DO mind, tho, people who attack undefended fields when other country has 0 or 1 or 2 pilots.

RAM, while reading these posts, keep in mind that most of these posts are "Pack Mentality"...do you understand what that means?

Ram....

It's the nature of the beast buddy....should those who log on first check to make sure it's ok to attack a country?

It happens....focus on something positive like killing as many of those women who would take advantage of such a situation.

I personally never try to take advantage of anyone...example....I'll wait for at least a 3v1 against me before I engage...ok...ok...I'll stop

Just have fun man...remember...the power of life and death is in the tongue....if you let yourself get too negative about these things, something awful will happen like TOWD will finally be able to kill me or HTC might start charging to play this Sim

Have a good one man

Ram, in the animal kingdom, when one member of 'the pack' is injured, or shows weakness, or draws attention by calling out to others in distress, "Pack Mentality" sets in, others are likely to attack the 'weak' member, its natures way of making sure the strong survive and reproduce...same thing is happening in this thread, once one member of 'the pack' attacks you, several others move in for the kill.

At the time u logged on; (looks like about 4:00am Eastern US time based on total numbers in the arena) my nation was in bed.. along with the majority of it's pilots. Guess most of the knits are Americans.

If you fly the 'knight shift' at 4;00am eastern US time expect diminished numbers in knitland.

But; you knew that.

On the other side.. it does look odd that knitland has fewer fields.. but that's reasonable.. the knits at the time in question had fewer fields to defend.. works out; right??

Anyway.. had some great canyon fights last night.. Love this terrain.

Salute AK's I was tangoing with in the canyon!! Great flyin guys!
