When you turn that carrier from aircraft bombing it you are giving me the kill/hit on it 9 times outta 10.
Now befor you call bs and  all that i'll tell ya whats going on .

now small /slight direction changes will help avoid bombs falling and torps .
its the radical corse changes that ...............
1st throws off your 5 inch/ack gunners
2nd gets the AI ack to thin out
3rd makes the carrier "sit and spin" in one small area (very easy target to hit )
4th doesnt let your AC get off the deck. you need the air cover.
5th messes with the main gunners porking the fld or gets them out of range right when they almost have the base/cv supressed/targeted.

in conclusion Keeping the most guns to bare on target , giving your planes a chance to take off and directing the cv from a high cap will help keep the Pro CV killers like me from getting ya as easy . (but I will get ya I just get killed easier/more often on each attempt )

I'f you see a squad operating a cv its best to ask befor you steal it from them also .(beleive me they will feel bad enough it they lose it)

Ive lost cv's and kept them alive in the heaviest battles the above method and good cordination works best .

a last little note is when you do lose that precious Carrier Why does most everyone make it run away ??? ... What good does that do ???  Take the darn thing and Ram it down there throat ... its gonna die in 10 mins anyway  why not let it take a few more down with it !!

How about if the CV comander cant fly from any other base while in command, and if he looses it, he cant fly until it respawns.

Good point, Laser.  However, you're guilty of improper use of terminology.  The term "defilade" is a land-combat term.  The term used to describe the situation you faced is gun "masking."  Turning the ship such that it brings a target into a gun mount's firing arc is called "un-masking" the battery. FYI.

Another thing that has to be stopped is this buisness of one person being able to control more then 1 CV at a time. Especially When they are not even participating in the action in the area  a CV is in.
Like I said before. just cause you have the rank to take control of a CV doesnt mean you should

Hmm another thought on Cv control. perhaps we should  have a CV kill ratio like we do with aircraft.
such as how many times the Cv has been sunk under ones command
And the person with the best stats would have rank over another.
