Well played England too. It was a proper match. But there's like nothing like beating the 'auld enemy'.  World Champions that they are. It's a compliment to England that we Celts whether Irish, Welsh or Scots love to beat England once in a while in whatever sphere we play them.

I didn't bother to watch because even when I heard Ireland was six up early on. Too often 'plucky little Ireland' play well early then get steamrollered and I wasn't prepared to suffer through that again. But it didn't happen this time and there was no need for the 'Dunkirk spirit' on the Irish side this time.

England needs to beat France now. We don't want those froggies to win the grand slam.

But how bad is Scotland. Oh dear!

England played terribly. Lost virtually every line out. Ireland deserved it and it was well done
