What a cool idea! The B-17s look especially good. Very creative and well done.

Hey Nath - the overdone part all depends. First off a number of the planes were Pacific fighters - it would be hot and humid and that would go a long way to prematurely age the film. Also, wartime quality was generally less than your premium film/paper. I've seen gun camera shots that look pretty close to some of those.

Certainly there were higher quality pictures taken - the Wizard of Oz was 1939 wasn't it? - but a lot depended on storage environment.

Yes Citabria! "A6M5b vs F4U-1D" that is very impressive.

However, I chose this as my favorite.

Title is...HTC's next generation kamikaze fighter "Bonzai". lol

Seriously, I select this photo if I'm you.

it should be chosen as best photo in 2000 if there are Flak bursts in this.

Nicely done!

I wish I was good enough to find some flaw in the pitcures, but I'm not.  So I'll just enjoy them!

Thanks!!

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.
