Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get my sticks set-up for AH2, but ended up disabling more features than when I first installed it..lol. If anyone can give me a heads up on how to set up my sticks in AH2 I would appreciate it.

I am using the Saitek X36F USB set and CH Pro Pedals.

just copy settings form AH1, config file is same

Okay if you want to use your setup exactly as it was in AH1 for AH2 you need to take these files over. This will bring all your keymap settings, joystick and such over.

Go to your AH1 settings folder and grab all files that end with .kmp. That is your key mapping files for your buttons. If your not using an external controller program to map your buttons and have to map them inside AH you'll need this file.

In the same folder grab the stick.cfg file and jsmap.cfg file. These are your dampening/deadband file and your joystick selection/mapping files. The jsmap file is the one where you can see all your controllers and the mouse. It has each controllers buttons to the right when it's selected and on the left has the AH functions that each button or controller axis can represent. These two files you will definately need if you don't want to go through that whole setup process again.

Oh and there is some other files you can bring over if you wish. If you have made alot of sound adjustments in the sounds area you'll need to bring the sounds.cfg file over too. You can for the most part figure what each file does by going to the folder and opening them using word or note pad. But remember to deselect always use this program to open file.

Easier to copy your entire settings folder.

Yeah but some of the views don't map right and you'll wipe out you AH2 work if you don't check each one.

I was wondering if copying the setting file over might be part of the reason for poor frame rates on some machines (Radeon 9800's mostly)?
