Where did the name "BAZOOKA" come from that was applied to the tube launched, rocket powered projectile anti-tank weapon used by U.S. forces in WW2?

GOOD LUCK!  :aok

Wasn't it the bubble gum with that name? Or came that after the Bazooka itself?

A folk musical instrument, a primitive version of a trombone, usually with a lower but less wide range.

The name "Bazooka" was taken from a trombone- like instrument played by comedian Bob Burns on his popular radio show of the time.

The instrument looks amazing like the first prototype. Like a funnel on the end of a pipe and a slide handle on the underside.

One of the men working on the project started calling it the "Bazooka" as a joke and the name stuck.   :D

Congrats!  :D
