Tomorrow will be my second time going, and I was wondering if anyone knew what I could apply to my mask to keep it from fogging up. It was so bad the first time it ruined a lot of my fun. It's not cool being blind in the woods with people shooting at you.

I never had my mask fogging up in paintball but I know that spit works well on diving goggles.

There is an anti fog spray you can buy that really helps.

Engine, I live on L.I. and play somewhat often in the spring/summer. Where do you play?

-edit- as for the goggles I use shaving cream or car wax (seems to work for me )

Home solutions, please. I don't go enough to warrant buying a bottle of that stuff, unless they sell it at the paintball place and it's cheap.

Pork - I was trying spit last time, helped for the 30 seconds it took for the mask to fog up again.

A friend thinks liquid soap would work. Anyone know for sure?

Heinkel: I have no idea, I just know it's upstate somewhere. I think it's called something like Extreme Paintball, or Intense Paintball. Something like that.

Dip the goggles in beer. dunno if it realy works, but it might...and at least it'll smell nice.

I remember using some stuff that was similar to what they used for skying goggles. Same stuff. We used JT goggles and masks but often modified them for more protection and added more venting etc... Only thing is you cant get the lens wet or dirty on the inside or you have to wash it all out with water and reapply the stuff. I also used Rainx antifog but the mask need good ventelation and it doesnt work as good as the other stuff.

I've played paintball since the guns were pistols that only fired one shot at a time. Back then, and even for a few years afterwards, when you got shot you'd tell the other guy "Nice shootin" and walk off the field. Tthe game is now overrun w/ tards who think they are Rambo. These tards whine.. wipe paint, turn up their guns, etc. Because airsoft leaves no mark, it will not be successful as paintball. Since there is no honor left among most people, airsoft cannot succeed on the scale of paintball.

I keep hearing about it, but I can't figure out how it works.

Is this the game where you shoot plastic BBS at each other?

There is no known ways to stop fogging. There are a few things that will limit fogging. The best I have found is "Cat Crap" http://www.catcrap.com

If you find you like Paintball the very first thing to get is a good pair of goggles/mask even before you get a marker. Get "thermal" lenses, they are double pane goggles that reduce fogging.

JT Paintball makes a goggle fan for about $50. Its a fan that sits on the top vents and draws air into the eye area. It helps quite a bit.

I have all of the above and I still fog. To justify why I am giving advice on Paintball go to...

The headgear you wear also affects fogging as it affects ventelation and how hot your head gets. Like boonie hats, caps etc... I remember wearing an olive bandana and never had fog issues so long as I washed and reapplied the anti fog before going out to the field.
