ode to the ah1 p38L, still best looking 38 model ever

it just looks right


the nacels are perfect the gondola sits right.
 the wings are chorded and proportioned just right.
the turbo chargers capture the look of the 38s
better than any other of its wanna be mates
it looks mean too, not skinny and frail
like those other 38 models high resed to no avail.

seriously
all it would need for ah2 is rounded spinners (steal the p40Es spinner cap and it would be just right i bet, new landing gear. and a better cockpit  and a 3d skin with no polygon shading

but the airframe wings, nacels engine tail needs no adjustments. its perfect. dosnt need more polygons or anything.

its still the best 38 model ive ever seen even if its lower poly count.

simply no one else has gotten it right even with massive polygons and high res skins.

the ah1 38 with a new skin willl easily outclass anything else

You know more about P38s then me. But to me the AEP one looks far better. Especially when the 38 is in the gun sight.

im refering to the proportions of the airframe. this is somthing extremely difficult to get just right.

on aep the engine nacels are not proportions correctly.

if you see the p38L in AH with a 1024 skin after its been updated for ah2 it will be as good or better than aep.

aep has superior cockpit graphics hands down though.

Sorry Cit, I gotta disagree with you on this one. The AH P-38 as it stands is rather smurfy, while this one here looks almost good enough to marry!

hmm i stand corrected.

but the nacels on that 38 are still too small and the front windscreen is wrong for a 38J or 38L
:D

i still think ah p38 is proportioned better even thogh its low polygon count and dosnt look as nice

That 'awesome' one is still a work in progress for TR, not AH2.
