This is retarded.

Ram, ya really gotta learn when it's time to give it a rest. Honestly bud. Do you seriously think that yer complaining is gonna change things? That it's gonna make everyone fly 'smart' and just exactly how you want them to? Not a chance.

And you know that Ram. Just what then do you intend to achieve with these posts? One big downer s'all it is. And frankly, it's embarrasing to watch.

Buck up and find yer way to a perspective that allows you to enjoy the game while at the same time letting people fly the way they gawdamn well please.

Please.

ps..
When I let buddies take the stick and give this game a try, they fly towards the dot and fire when the dot gets big. That simple. I can't remember but I think this is how we all started out flying. So...

pps.
There's a sort of understanding that goes along with callin' someone a dweeb. Just what constitutes a dweeb, etc. We all have varied understandings of it, but they orbit around the same general area. Newbies? Well, they're just baby seals. Nothing to get too worked up about. Now, dweebs? Well, Ram, my better judgement tells me to shut up at this point. Yer a talented pilot. Just... be a man about this stuff - and simply let yer guns do the talkin'. Don't try and force people into 'your' way, however 'right' it is.

As frustrating as it may be, ya can really only lead by example here. So take a minute and think about the example you want to set before ya get the desire to open up on channel one.

A few points Ram did not and still does not know what my position was.
Just to clear it up i was south of 26 in a tiffie at approx 10k ? with my only friendly base a long way to the north, NO friendly aircraft around me, spotting a 109 on my six at about 8k i did not have many options but to turn North and try to blast through to a friendly base, by the time i had turned i was down to just over 25% fuel at about 200 knots with a very slight alt advantage nose on with RAM, SA check detected an enemy tiffie closing fast from my right about 1k below me, as we closed RAM just came straight on in dead on the nose. He did nothing to spoil a HO shot, he did nothing to work a lead turn, as we got closer he put his nose down slightly to pass under me which i usually interpret as an attempt to put lead into my belly as i pass over, i thought what the hell lets give him something to think about instead and fired, even so i dont believe i hit him with anything more than 1 shot if that. Being naturally combative and confident of my ability i did a SA check to find the Tiffie only 3k away and coming in fast, RAM was going vertical behind me in his 109.
So if we run this from here, 25% fuel, 109 on my High 6, Tiffie closing fast from my right, long way to friendly base and no friendlies to help.
Yea i guess i did aim for the nearest base and try to make it back with the 2 kills i already had, acquired with the age old Hit and Run technique, none of them were HO kills, they were kills because my targets did not have enuf SA to see me coming, yes they were already fighting my team mates and yes i picked them off without my team mates needing to call for a clear 6, but thats what team plays all about.
As for Ack hugging ? well i guess you would interpret a landing as Ack hugging, you constantly seem to try to put the worst interpretation upon everything anybody else does.
I notice you have complained about lack of teamplay, well i constantly sacrifice myself and my score trying to take off and defend capped bases because I DO IT FOR THE TEAM.
How often do you help your team like this ?
Then you have the cheek to constantly call me a Dweeb for using my SA and seeing a bad situation in time to avoid it.
Personally i think your the Dweeb for expecting a Tiffie to try and turn and fight with your High 190 especially with another enemy closing fast.
So do you want realistic play RAM or do you just want people to fly like idiots so you can get easy kills ?
After you spent many minutes calling me a HO Dweeb who has no idea how to fight, somebody suggested we swap planes and fly a duel,  well no surprise when you ignored that
I even asked if you would like to duel which you seemed to think funny at first, you even told how you duelled with Torque and because he is very good pilot he beat you, well unlike you i know what happens when i duel Torque in the training or free player arenas and i am confident enough to fly a duel with you IF you wish.
That is not a challenge or a hot headed attempt to kill you to show who has the biggest balls. I am too old for that sorta crap, but it would be nice to show that i know something about fighting

Ok long post i guess and cant be asked to proof read it, so hope its coherent.

PS. Lifes too short so what happened yesterday is easily forgotten.

Yanno those 2 kills?

First time I locked up with Vik and he shot half my wing off when I followed a bad rope. So I managed to level a run with what was left of my plane as far south as possible. Before I whacked the ground. No SA involved there anyway   And then still, I managed to out roll your Tiff when you flew up my arse, and forced an overshoot. Then once I blew my speed, the lack of a wing forced me into the ground. Why ya got the kill I'll never know.
But don't go preachin I didn't have enough SA to see ya coming.

I guess it's true, what happened yesterday is easily forgotton

Second, Me and Vik were locking up, have a wonderful Split-S-a-thon when I spotted your Tiff 4k out. Nothing I could do, I was already locked up with an La5 in a P-38. What was SA suppose to do for me? I watched. I was aware. Oh well.

From my POV ya stole both of them. (although the second is debatable, I might of got him, to early to tell)

I am from that old Air Warrior creed that believes in letting  those engaged finished if there is no immediate danger, as we were. Just a nice lil 1 on 1. (And because they always end up on the deck and the B n Z is that much easier) So shooting a guy out from under another's nose (even if it's me getting shot) ruffles my feathers.

But I have no problems with it. I was the Tiff too. Had a great fight with ede afterwards.

I not one to agree Ram, but if ya aren't going to make an effort to fight with it, don't take it. I never saw you lock up the whole night

BigJim is right, RAM. There's not too much a person can do in a Tiffie except HO when approaching a relatively even merge. I know I certainly wouldn't be stupid enough to try to fight a 190 on even terms in my Tiffie.

RAM, please stop. This is getting embarrassing, and you will regret continuing to argue with people in this thread.

One thing I've learned the hard way, through four years of Warbirds and almost one of Aces High: You and only you are responsible for your butt. Six calls are great if you can get them, but you can't(and shouldn't) count on them. You're doing the right thing by continuing to call other people's six, and to clear them. Someday, they will repay your kindness. But don't demand it, it's only to going to hurt your credibility and respect

Nash, I knew there was a reason I liked you. Very well said!

banana:

Depends on whether he is facing an A5 or a real man's A8.

Then again, a plane that climbs at less than 1.5k/s over 12k with a dt shouldn't be too hard to reverse on. I'll go for a HO when I am in an A8 and am looking to blow through the enemy and then rtb. My chances vs virtually any plane in a co alt, co e merge in the A8 are slim, if the other pilot is just half decent.

And, he can run. A Tiffie outran my 109G10 yesterday - and I had alt and full WEP.

Hi RAM i know u can be a nice guy.
I want too say ur very wrong about Cavalier

I know him from EAW and flown with him on the zone and on the EAW ladder against him he is a very sportive and very good experienced propsimpilot. He is also too find on the top off the ladder with a very good killratio. Much better as mine yes cav is a smart pilot. I wasn't sure cavalear was cavalier otherwise i would certainly helped him on the general chat.

I think u went over the line in general chat
U might have a bad day RAM i don't believe u can be like that some excuse could be on the place here

Now u can say EAW is a dweep sim but EAW got a very fast changing acm. Not a bad sim too learn what to do or what not to do.

Now shake hands and be fiends

Sounds a bit easy

As well it should in most cases. The Tiffie may be a total dog in most ways but down on the deck it is at least 15mph faster than the G10 (380mph vs low 360's), and 13mph faster than the P51. Even the Pony is faster than the G10 below about 5,000ft.

About the only plane I can think of that we may get in the near future that could stay with a Tiffie on the deck is the La7, which can also do about 380mph on the deck.
