When I was working on the Ambulance I took a series of three vacinations to prevent hep-c but I could not build the anti-bodies.
So I had to move to dispatch as alot of our patients were aids patients.

Hope you got treatment in time bud it is an ugly thing.

Ive had is since the 70's.

At one point it was very high levels like yours so I took the treatment (made me sick every day for a year).   The levels dropped to allmost nothing but they never died off.  I have it but it is low level so the treatment worked out I guess.  I have never been sick from it.

My doctor told me I shoulda had sleeping sickness but that only people with wimpy imune systems get that and that my imunne system was much too manly to ever get sleeping sickness or baldness.

S!

I found myself in a similar situation this week. I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease called "IgA-Hephropathy". Thankfully the prognosis is pretty good, 30% change of kidney failure within 10 years if the disease starts to advance. I'm currently doing my military service and now on leave waiting for my discharge papers... Well at least I got to try the army for 2 1/2 months.
