Because Lazs, sneak attacks are realistic. So there are no night fighters, waa waa there's no ground level fog to obscure targets either and smoke effects are pathetic BUT night was the great equalizer between the buffs and the buff hunters.

Realizing this is a game, it is still a game that is premised on a realistic representation of what pilots in ww2 had to contend with.

Deeply pissed off by this HTC. Maybe you should add auto-aim too so that discipline on the trigger is unnecessary as well. If this is a mistake please fix it.

I don't think auto firing would be very realistic but having day fighter planes only fly in the daytime seems pretty realistic eh?

what is wrong with you guys? icons show where the bloody targets are.

no night fighters?

who cares night was never really dark anyway.

to me, dusk and dawn is worse than full blown night because at night, you have the moon giving off enough light anyway..........:o

ok since night has gone, can we remove clouds too? :( (im not joking either)

The night air war in AH bears absolutely no resemblance to WW2. No nightfighters, bright Icons, adjustable gamma (no two versions of night the same), no searchlights no real navigational issues. It's just AH day with unrealistic gunnery challenges.

If HTC sets up a realistic night with all of the above, and a planeset limited to Lancasters and German fighters (single seat fighters having to rely on searchlights and sector bars), no night "jabos" no icons and "radar" equipped nightfighters you might have an argument.

Just how many undefended bases were sneaked at night in WW2 anyway? How many nighttime jabo raids were there?

In WWII they didn't have your autofiring and they did not have dayfighters doing nitefiter duty.   seems simple enough.

Lol, exactly! Night was great for those who had no intention of actually fighting but wanted to get a 'free pass' to a 'porkable' target. Good riddance, I say.

Well that's too bad, I also enjoyed the night.  Had a hell of a fun fight a couple of days ago with Rooks as we fought off a CV full of bad guys trying to take A17.  Fighters coming in, and LVTs trying to roll up to shore under the cover of darkness.  That was fun as hell.  There's still other fun to be had, but I'll miss the night...if it's gone by design, that is.  I preferred the actual night part more than dusk/dawn.
