ummmh... but which side is John Wayne fighting for, axis or allies?

If we talk about John Wayne in "Green Berets", role of Lauri Törni aka Larry Thorne, we cannot really be sure. He fought in Finnish Army, in German SS and in US Army.

So, if John gets involved, will it be good guys vs good guys? .. or the bad vs the ugly?
