Thud you proved my point because these are EXTREME veiws in western culture.  Abortion is not a right of choice.....gays have the same rights as everyone else....marry the opposite sex....remove guns from homes because SOME people act irresponsibly with them.  THESE ARE NOT NORMS.  They are a veiw of a the FEW, but you just proved it that the left try to pander these ideas off as absolutly normal.

'Western' culture does not refer to the states west of Utah alone Gunslinger. Western culture does not only manifest itself in the US but also in Europe, Oceania and to a lesser extent in some sections of Asia. Western culture is not defined by what the norms are in the States alone and many of the issues brought up here are accepted precisely as I formulated them, in western culture.

OK then let me restate my previous statement without the phrase "western culture".  US CULTURE does not think of these issues as NORMS.  Look at the polling data that has come out.

Lets take San Fan. CA for instance.  One rouge mayor in one city decides to break the law because he thinks the law is wrong.  Forgetting what the issue is entirly for a second lets recall that the MAJORITY 75% of californians voted against the issue.  A libral is pushing his minority veiws on a subject to make people think it is the norm.  That's what librals do.


as far as western culture goes you braught up that word and I just happen to repeat it because I thaught we were talking about the US not europe oceania and to a lesser extent some sections of asia.  I could really care less what europe, oceania and to a lesser extent some sections of asia think about the US.  They obviously dont take action if there culture does somthing that offends us so why care.

this is not an equal rights issue.  All consenting adults have the same right to marry a member of the opposite sex because that is what a marrige is.  Civil unions?  I do agree with them but not marrige.  What's next inter species marrige multiple partner marriges....where does it stop EXTREME? YES Libs press this as normal? YES  Majority support for gay marrige? NO!

Western Culture is not the norm in the United States. American Culture is the norm in the United States. It's just that the media elite has a tendency to down play it's significance. If you are refering to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan as examples of western culture in Asia....There's a reason Baseball is their No. one sport.
