What was "FORCE Z" ?

Something was suposed to be with it but was absent when it met the enemy. What was it and why?

Force Z was comprised of the battleship HMS Prince of Wales and the battlecruiser HMS Repulse.  The aircraft carrier HMS Indomitable should have been there but ran aground leaving the force without any air support.
