Vermillion - The guys who play more don't really cost the company any more money.  So why charge them more?

my two bits on the subject:
I think AH is a better game than WB. i like the FM's better and think the gunnery is better. The game play and plane set and "community" are still lagging somewhat, but i would rather spend my time flying here.

but after the beta, i'm back relearning the WB FM's and haven't started a paying account here.
during the AH beta i did all my flying here but i kept my WB account alive. i was paying $9.95 for nothing, but hey its only 10 bucks. I just can't see paying 30 bucks, use or no use. I don't plan on killing my WB account right now, and $40 is too much to pay for this little hobby when i'm too busy to spend much time online.
If AH offered the same pay plan as warbirds, i would sign up. then i'm at a $20 minimum and i can put extra hours in whichever suits my fancy. The $40 minimum is just more than i'm willing to pay if i'm not flying that much.
oh well, such is life. you can't force somebody to take your money. so i fly the second best FM's and AH makes a little less money (not to mention has one less levelheaded pilot in thier community). If AH changes it's policy ( or i get a 40% raise this year ) i'll revisit it ( well, if my handle is still available anyway ). but until then....
good luck here guys, i'll be flying in different skies.

p.s. it's quite possible that their hands are tied on the issue. if they didn't set the software up to securely handle hours and billing then the policy is dictated by the software and changing it is no small matter.

Why the HECK have an hourly rate?  what about the people that play alot and therefore could not afford to play anymore.  Thats the reason why myself and most of my friends play AH and NOT WB because of their greedy payment methods.  Houlry rates?? that is ridiculous.  Just becuase you dont play all the time and dont want to pay 30 meesly bucks a month doenst mean the rest of us have to suffer.

Ziggy,

I don't think anyone here means to make it more expensive at all.

Read Hans' post.  I think it's a great idea to make it more affordable for more people and a good compromise...

actually thats a pretty damn good idea.  This way people that want to have their hourly rate and not play so much can and afford it.  Also the ones that want to play all day like myself do not have to worry about a rate once I get to 30 bucks.  Thats a great idea because if anything, it would benefit me as well.  Should have read all the pots first, dorry gents :O)

The only reason Im not up there is the price.
Along with about 20 other AW friends who
would like to as well, but cant afford it.

Oh well, guess HT has enough customers allready.
