Visual damage
« on: March 19, 2004, 04:37:09 AM »
The visual damage looks interesting. Are the holes rendered exactly at the place where the plane get hit? Or is it just swaped texture with randomly painted holes like in Il.2 or TR?
Also the  holes should be made little more "jagged", the real holes were never so perfectly rounded:

Could we have a variable guys head that changes depending on the damage?  Maybe we could use figures from history or film like an 88 hit would be Socrates whereas a 30mm would be Red Skelton or Sammy Davis?

As an enhancement users could select their own pictures and make a Aunt Betty fill the hole made by a rocket, etc.
