I expect i will get a lot of interesting comments on this one, so here goes. Just finished watching a documentary on Discovery Wings on the me262 and was really amazed to here that this plane although primarily designed as a fighter was a bomber, although not a good one and not used in that role very much.
Hitler in his demented genius demanded that the production version of the plane be equiped to bomb, even though this infuriated the designers they had no choice but to produce it as such. The thing that stuck in my mind was that they produced more of the bomber configured planes than the true fighter version, though the only difference was the ordance pylons and cockpit release mechanism.
Now having said this, i think that we should be able to use our bomber perks to aquire this plane and fly it. As there really isn't a perk bomber worth aquiring in the game it would give us pilots that take the time to do the long boring bomber missions some reward for our efforts, not to mention the fun of flying something a little different. Oh yea i know about the ar234, not a plane that i waste points on, might as well fly with a bullseye on your butt! Sure it's fast, but if you come up against any sort of ariel combat you might as well bail as the gun is useless.
Well that's might rant any comments on this?
P.S. to all the more expeirenced pilots before you say to much, just think of all the rookie fliers you could nail, nice perks for killing a 262 with say, p51! LOL
