Looking to rid myself of the MS FF PRO.

Too many functions needed for AH.

Anyone recommend any good DIGITAL sticks, throttles, and pedals?

Thanks in advance,

I asked that question about a week ago andI got a lot of good info.

I'm waiting till the USB gear is available from CH Products.  The USB Pro rudders are out but the USB F16-FlightStick and USB Pro throttle will not be out till April.  I called CH and confirmed this.

I also have the MS FF Pro, I like it in a lot of games but I have some serious issues using it in AH.

Mox:

The USB items are digital?

I still have a bunch of new TM gear sitting in my basement but all the problems I had with bad pods were immense. Thats why I am looking for a digital setup.

I have a CH Gamestick 3D USB that is just like a MS Sidewinder only reliable and you actually get service and support from CH.

 http://www.intelligamer.com/hardware/chgamestick/chgamestick.asp  wrote:

"Fortunately, CH is one company that seems committed to USB and will be introducing a compatible USB Throttle and USB Pedals later this year."

If that means what I think I read in it: ie the stick will be able to be comboed with the new CH USB Pro Throttle, this might be the solution.

Still I'll let others do the initial testings...I think.

I *think* what K1 is asking is for information regarding a full HOTAS setup using digital optics *like* the sidewinders use.  A set of digital optics rudder pedals, a digital optics throttle and a excellent digital optics stick with a high degree of programability would be my dream come true.
and YES....USB functionality a big, big plus!

Potentiometers SUCK!  SUCKSUCKSUCK!!!!

K1, I dont know of any plans by any of the known HOTAS manufacturers to use digital optics in a full HOTAS set-up.  If anyone knows anything about this Id love to hear it as well.

Well I'm using the MS Sidewinder Force Feedback stick, coupled with a set of Simped Digital pedals.

Have had occasional problems re pedal calibration but other than that everything is as smooth as silk.

Yeager,

You hit the proverbial nail on the head.

Spoke to FlightSimCentral and no one makes a digital HOTAS setup...yet.

I could build it for you, but it would cost more than your PC.
