The thing is with a Boxer, they see a cat pull up and start to swat with its claws, they do their "boxer" act and swat back with their paws.  Which given the disparity in size and reach usually means the cat gets knocked head over tail several times, and before it recovers it bearings the dog has it pinned to the ground.

Ocaisonally a cat will get a good hit in, but its usually ignored until the end of "play time" ;)

Cats play too.  They have two or three "gears" on the swats.  There's "just playin", "yer pissin me off", and "It's on, b*tch!"

We have another cat that is not fond of the dog, and is big enough it has hurt me a few times when startled. LOL

Big chicken..

The dog leave that one alone.

The little one was a riot to watch when she was gettign used to the dog. I saw Lab Lip stretch like 3 inches as the kitty had her claw stuck in it and was slowly being pulled to the edge of the end table.
