It does happen in Texas.  I know of 2 business's here in Austin that gave away beer for a while until they got their license.

You could be in Oklahoma right now where a bill is in the process of being passed that will outlaw any type of beer discounts at clubs.  No quarter longnecks, no free beer for cover, no nothing but full priced piss water all night.  First we have 3.2 beer unless you buy it hot at a liquor store, then we don't even get it cheap at bars anymore?

The whole logic behind this is to stop underage drinking.  Which makes perfect sense to me, because god knows how hard it is for underage drinkers to get beer.  :rolleyes:
