The vehicle is still driveable.  Just leave it the way it is and buy that fishfinder!  Its your wife's problem; let her fix it.  Why should you suffer?  Just convince yourself that it'll teach her good defensive driving skills, like checking her 7 o'clock before spinning the wheel.

 Mickey, same here, I carry a camera everywhere I travel.  We discussed the "Lessons Learned" and she had checked her mirrors about 7 seconds before turning, unfortunately the turn is just on the other side of a corner, and the high speed the Honda was traveling made the situation worse.  She said it happened so fast that there would not have been time for a camera, and the fact that she was still in the road blocking traffic, she had to consider her safety first. By the time she pulled up, the car was gone.  I told her that if should ever happen again, safety first (like she did)) then pull your car up and block the other car from leaving.
