I was jus wondering if someone could tell me how to see wat kind of video card i have in my comp.

From the Windows desktop, Start->Run->DXDIAG, then select the "Display" tab. If you have a DirectX compatible video card, it will give you all the information about it there.

Once you know what card it is redenlow go download the latest drivers for it. Can post here again and tell us what vid card it is and I'll go look up some drivers for you.

Will hopefully make AH2 work for you.

Ok i found it, the vid card that i have is the Intel(R) 82865g Graphics Controller if someone could tell me were to get the lateest rivers for it i would be realt thankful.

Uhmmm, best video card, depends on how much money you wanna spend really, you can get a pretty good one for around 150-200 US dollars I believe while if you want a really good one the prices go all the way up to 400, 500 and even closer to 600 sometimes.

I believe both ATI and Nvidia aswell as a couple of new video card companies will release a new generation of video cards soon, ATI with their 420 circuit.

Will see what I can find, how much are you willing to spend?

Time to pull out the Tom's Hardware VGA Chart again. All the current and recent past cards are compared. There are many good on line vendors but I've had the best luck with Newegg. Most bang for the buck at high quality (AA x4 & AF x8) settings is the ATI Radeon 9600 XT or Pro. Avoid ATI "SE" cards and the nVidia GF 5200 FX. nVidia cards attain higher frame rates than ATI cards in AH2.

Yes they do, as it is now atleast.

This is from the latest post that Pyro made about the upcoming Beta 19:

If you are using an older version of DirectX, you will need to upgrade your DirectX version to run the next beta release. If you are using an older set of video drivers, you may be required to update your video drivers as well.

This to me, sounds fairly promissing for cards that are optimized for DX9 feutures, we'll see if the Nvida cards still give out better frame rates in beta 19.

Good news indeed as all my computers have ATI cards. ATI cards generally outperform nVidia cards in DirectX 9 optimized games and benchmarks. I trust the optimization speeds up the ATI cards and does not slow down the nVidia cards.

Perhaps the most prudent advice would be to avoid all integrated graphics computers if you intend to play games. ATI and nVidia integrated chipsets would score at or near the bottom of the Tom's hardware ratings and the Intel chipset would be below that.

Yes, I wouldn't touch onboard graphics with a 5 foot stick.

using ATI 9700 Pro so I'm hoping for this next patch aswell.
